"Celebrating Heritage" Show

The Southeastern District’s flower show, “Celebrating Heritage!” featured more than 300 entries in horticulture and floral design, July 16-18th at Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich.
The show schedule was created to showcase Heritage’s 50th anniversary with more than 84 entries by GCFM club members from Belmont to Orleans in stunning Design, Botanical Arts, and Photography classes. In the Horticulture Division, there were more than 230 pristine entries from 17 clubs district wide.
Several Osterville Garden Club members served as committee members during the entire year-long process of putting the show together, including show and schedule chairman, Susan Dewey, and the following chair people: Horticulture Classification: Cate Gulliver, Signage: Beth Johnson, Publicity: GeeGee Murphy, Hospitality/Hostesses: Leslie Averna, and Clerks: Gail Reilly.
Horticulture Division I:
Local growers from all around the Cape as well as from South Coast and South Shore clubs, scoured their gardens to share more than 230 individual cuttings, plant collections, dish gardens, hanging gardens, and more to the delight of show visitors.
More than 33 Horticulture entries were brought in by club members including the following participants: Carol Trifone, Marian Nicastro, Susan Dewey, Cate Gulliver, Cindi Reid, Nancy Dawson, Liz Ferretti, and Paula Indelicato.

Class 5 – “McGraw Family Garden of the Senses” - Pot et Fleur
Entry 2: Laurel Welch, 2nd, Osterville Garden Club
Participants in the Photography Division included Carolyn MacDonald and Susan Dewey, who won a third place.
