September 12, 2022: Farmers Market, 12:00 – 12:45 PM Enjoy a Farmer’s Market from 12:00 to 12:45 pm when members will share and purchase produce, flowers, planters and herbs from their gardens, arts and crafts, jams, sauces, and more to benefit our club! "Osterville Garden Club: Then and Now" A slide show will be shown to membership after the Market.
October 3, 2022: “The Traditions and Beauty of Ikebana” Our speaker, Joann Caccavale, is a noted Ikebana designer and teacher, known for her expertise in Sogetsu designs. Guests are welcome and a $10 guest fee covers admission. PRE-REGISTER HERE:
November 3, 2022: “Floral Designs for the Holidays... Faux Real!”Our speaker, our very own Beth Johnson, principal of Terra Coastal Design, will demonstrate her creativity with a dried/faux Thanksgiving centerpiece and several holiday decorative accent pieces.
February 6, 2023: “Love Is In The Air!” (Special Event with the Garden Club of Hyannis) An Art in Bloom-style event in conjunction with the Hyannis Garden Club. Six members from each club will celebrate love, creating a beautiful design with their interpretation of a piece of art supplied by the planning committee.
March 6, 2023 “Edible Wild Plants” Russ Cohen has been leading walks and talks about wild edibles for 50 years. He will entertain us with slides of wild edibles we can find on Cape Cod and in our own back yards. In 2015, Russ set up a nursery where he’s growing over 1,000 plants representing more than one third of the 180 edible species native to New England. You may want to plant some in your garden.
April 4, 2023: “Succulents 101” The Cactus and Succulent Society will introduce us to the wonderful world of Cacti and Succulents. The program highlights the differences and will show us how to take care of them and what to consider when purchasing them.
May 1, 2023 “Pollinator Pathways” Gary Bowden, Master Gardener, will explain to us why the Pollinator Pathway Cape Cod was created and why it is important to promote its mission. He will also tell us how to transition our gardens by adding native plants that will provide food for pollinators throughout the seasons. June 5, 2023: Annual Meeting.
