Sign up for a series of four, intermediate floral design workshops that will be taught by Susan Dewey on Tuesdays, downstairs in the Maker's Room, Osterville Public Library.
September 21, 2021 Line Mass Design Workshop, 11 AM For the line mass workshop, bring your own garden/and or supermarket flowers (some line material, sticks, or other linear plant medium needed to establish line) snips and other tools, and a small/medium container (6 inches long x 4 inches high) with soaked floral foam Oasis inside. Please bring an extra cube of soaked Oasis just in case! Bring evergreen foliage such as Rhododendron to hide the Oasis. Please reserve your place by emailing Susan at [email protected]. Limit: 20 people.
November 16, 2021 Parallel Design Workshop, 11 AM Bring your own supermarket/flower shop flowers, snips and tools, floral tape and soaked Oasis in a mid-sized (6-12 inch), low container (think low oval casserole dish!) to create a parallel design with Susan Dewey. Linear material is important as well as some foliage (Rhododendron works well) to cover mechanics. Reserve your place by emailing Susan at [email protected]. Limit: 20 people.
January 11, 2022 Italian Layered Design Workshop, 11 AM Bring a mid-sized ceramic (6-8 inch long x 3-4 inch wide x 4-6 inch high), or wood container with a wide opening with soaked Oasis for an Italian layered design with supermarket or flower shop flowers. Bring snips and tools, green floral tape, and linear and round plant material needed as well as some foliage to cover your Oasis (such as Rhododendron, other evergreens.) Please bring an extra cube of soaked Oasis! Reserve your place at [email protected]. Limit: 20 people.
March 15, 2022 Abstract Design Workshop, 11 AM Bring a low, round, oval, or horizontal dish such as a plain undecorated plate, an appetizer platter, or a low casserole, (6 x 8 inches in length, not wider than 4 inches, nor higher than 2 inches.) Plant material should be very minimal, linear (such as sticks) and a few round flower and foliage shapes needed. Dried plant material encouraged. Susan Dewey will supply pin holders for all participants who do not have one for a minimal cost. Please reserve your sauce at [email protected]. Limit: 20 people
